December Newsletter Overview:

For us today, Advent should be more than just a time of preparation for the remembrance of Christ's birth 2007 years ago. We need to recognize that it is the time between Christ's first and second coming in which we are given the opportunity and challenge to complete the work that Jesus left behind, such as to "give drink to the thirsty, feed the poor, and clothe the naked". Each of us should use this season to review our own personal commitment to Our Lord.

Don't forget that December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Maybe it is just me but, I was never quite sure if this was to celebrate Mary's Immaculate Conception, Christ's or both. To clarify this, I asked Sr. Mary Sarto to clarify the Church's intention with this feast day. Below is a summary of her explanation. To provide a completely different perspective, I turned to a series of books from The Holy Spirit Center which chronicles the apparitions of Our Blessed Mother under her title as Our Lady of Light in the Cincinnati, Ohio area between 1991-1999. The messages that I selected are those given to this visionary on December 8th of 1993 and 1994. As always, it is "private revelation" and therefore only you can decide through prayer if it is worth your consideration.

The Meaning of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception

In 1854, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Immaculate Conception of Mary and December 8th as a Holy Day of Obligation for all Catholics. To become the mother of the Savior, she was exempted from all stain of original sin at the first moment when her soul was infused into her body and sanctifying grace was given to her before sin could have taken effect in her soul.

The Immaculate Conception is the patronal feast of the United States.

Message from Our Lady of Light - December 8, 1993
The Holy Spirit Center

Dear children,

I wish to thank all who are here today and give my motherly blessing to all of you and to all in your families.

Know that I shall take this devotion done here today into my heart. With a mother's love I will intercede constantly for all of you to the Heavenly Father for peace on your earth and for peace in your hearts.

Know, my children, that this time will pass away but that God's time is eternal, with no division, everlasting. As the setting of the sun was given to mark your time, know that there is no setting sun in heaven. You are forever in the light there.

Also know that the feast of my Immaculate Conception goes hand in hand with my Immaculate Heart. Whenever you consecrate yourselves to me in any way, I shall claim you as my own and defend you in any situation.

I thank all of you here present for your devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If you will continue to believe and help me with your prayers, I shall be able to bring about the prophecies foretold in the days of your past.

As I have said, "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph!" But I cannot do this alone. The need for your help, my children, is great. Through devotion of the faithful to my Immaculate Heart and veneration of the Heart of Jesus, many graces will be given by the Father. Know that the Lord has confided the peace of the world to me through my Immaculate Heart.

For this reason, December 8 has always been the occasion of a great feast in heaven for, through my Immaculate Conception, the world was also given the birth of the Immaculate Son and, through his death and resurrection, the redemption of all mankind.

As my Immaculate Conception allowed the birth of my Immaculate Heart, both are intertwined as one grace and one gift from the Father to His children on earth. As I came to you in previous days I come to you now and offer my Immaculate Heart as a means to cleanse your souls and to cleanse your world of all sins.

Know that it is a time of purification on your earth and all my children should avail themselves of God's mercy now being offered you. Dear children, make peace and reconcile with your Heavenly Father. Ask for His forgiveness and then make atonement to Him with sincere prayer and sacrifice from the heart.

God is all-loving and all-forgiving, so do not be afraid to approach Him. Go to Him with a true repentance of spirit and He will restore your soul to purity and give you His peace. In the cleansing of your spirit by the Father you will become immaculate and worthy of your inheritance as a child of God. Thus at the time of your death you will be called, "Come, enter into the kingdom which I have prepared for you from all eternity."

I am your mother and thank you for your response.

Our Lady of Light - Other Messages on December 8th 1991, 1993 & 1994.

In a personal message of December 8, 1994 to the anonymous Batavia visionary, Our Lady says, "I came here as 'Our Lady of Light' in days past and I wish to be known here in America as 'Our Lady of Light' in the days to come and for all future generations. Know that my coming here to America as 'Our Lady of Light' was a special gift of the Father, honoring the special feast of my Immaculate Conception.

"In reading previous messages, you can see that on December 8, 1991 I first announced that I would be coming here to St. Joseph Church. I had sent that message through another of my messengers. I also said that I come, Mother of God, Bearer of Light, to be among you as a shining beacon in this very urgent time.

"If you will also recall, I promised you a miracle would be sent on December 8, 1991. This miracle was granted through the Father. This miracle, on the fall of Communism, was also part to the fulfillment of my Fatima messages that Communism would be defeated and my Immaculate Heart would triumph.

"On December 8, 1993 I brought forth my third ambassador, 'the priest of the west,' Father Lawrence Sweeney of Ogden, Utah. His appearance on this date was no coincidence. (Side note from the Administrator of The Way of the Cross... In addition to his association with The Holy Spirit Center, Fr. Sweeney was one of the spiritual advisors to Alex Avendano, the stigmatic of Ogden, Utah for whom this newsletter and The Way of the Cross website were started.)

"As I have spoken many times, I am the same Lady, giving the same messages, even though I may approach some in a different manner or under a different title than others This is simply my plan to reach more of my children."

"You could not see in the beginning all that has happened here, even though I foretold it. You cannot see what lies ahead now, but I can.

"Our Lady of Light Ministries has started here as a small seed but will grow into a giant faith which will flow over this land and then over the world. For this reason it is still my desire that all work done for me here in this area, and at all seven apparition sites, be contained under and within my Our Lady of Light Ministries. This is to avert any confusion that could arise in the future."

The Fulfillment of Fatima

The fulfillment of Fatima is transpiring here. "The foretold fulfillment of Fatima is upon us" - an astounding statement, isn't it? In a personal message to Fr. Leroy Smith, Our Lady said:

"Tell them of Our Lady of Light Ministries and ask that they join in this movement to help bring about the triumph of my Immaculate Heart as promised at Fatima. As I have already spoken, I am the 'Lady of Fatima,' continuing here in this land and in these times a 'Our Lady of Light.' What is transpiring here now is the fulfillment of the promises and prophecies made at Fatima at the beginning of this century. Remind my children that these times are very serious, but also very blessed."

"When visiting any area (of the country), ask the people there to join my movement. Ask that they accept and wear my holy scapular, that the take up and pray my holy Rosary daily. These are the tools I gave in earlier days to defeat the fallen angel. I ask that they consecrate themselves and their families to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to my Immaculate Heart."

Medjugorje Message
November 25, 2007

"Dear children!
Today, when you celebrate Christ, the King of all that is created, I desire for Him to be the King of your lives.

Only through giving, little children, can you comprehend the gift of Jesus´ sacrifice on the Cross for each of you.

Little children, give time to God that He may transform you and fill you with His grace, so that you may be a grace for others.

For you, little children, I am a gift of grace and love, which comes from God for this peaceless world.

Thank you for having responded to my call."

Message of December 2, 2007
Our Lady was very sad. Her eyes were filled with tears through out the whole time.

Dear children,
Today, while I am looking at your hearts, my heart is filled with pain and shudder. My children, stop for a moment and look into your hearts. Is my Son – your God truly in the first place? Are His commandments truly the measure of your life? I am warning you again. Without faith there is no God’s nearness. God’s word which is the light of salvation and the light of common sense.

“ANNE” – DIRECTION FOR OUR TIMES
December 1, 2007

Jesus: We are a faith of waiting. You wait for Me to return to the world and I wait for souls to return to Me. You feel a longing for Me and for goodness that causes you pain at times. I feel a similar longing for souls in the world who have rejected Me and so suffer the pain of separation from Me. How they hurt. How their wounds disturb them and cause them to hurt others. My heart sighs with loneliness for them. I ache to comfort them and console them. I long to heal their wounds. You, My beloved apostles, comfort Me in this grief by sharing this experience with Me. I am comforted by your fidelity to Me which is reflected in your fidelity to the cause of your brothers and sisters. As I wait, so do you wait and as I suffer, so do you suffer. I speak to you today, though, to remind you of something. As I rejoice, so should you rejoice. Rejoice with Me at the return of many souls just as perhaps others rejoiced at your return. Rejoice with Me at the healing of many souls, just as perhaps others rejoiced at your healing. You will rejoice that others return to Me through your consistent and humble service. We are a faith of waiting, it is true, but we are also a faith of rejoicing. The Father’s goodness spreads out over the earth in this time in waves of kindness and benevolence. You, My beloved apostles, gently push these waves out with your commitment to My service. The great mercy of the Father draws souls to My heart, the heart that burns steadily, a furnace of divine compassion and love. We are waiting, yes. But while we are waiting, we are preparing. You prepare to receive your King and I prepare to receive the fruits of your service. Be at peace, My beloved friends. We serve together, we suffer together, and we rejoice together. Be assured that youare loved and that your loneliness is temporary. I am returning.

Ann P. - Messages to a Converting Soul
December 3 2007

Jesus: My child. Those who are for Me cannot be against Me. Go out and tell the good news. Speak about My Kingdom and what awaits those that persevere throughout their lives. Keep storing up treasures by good deeds done in My name. I have chosen you My little one to pray for My priest and religious, you are to pray unceasingly for them. They must constantly dedicate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of My Mother. Her protection is necessary against all the enemie’s attacks for She will embrace them and place them under Her mantle. You must sacrifice much for their souls, especially for those who have gone astray and have deeply wounded My Sacred Heart. I search the hearts continuously for souls who will dedicate themselves to this mission. If My priests only knew the power they posses to save souls and themselves, they would never do anything to offend Me. There are a great number of priests and religious suffering the pains of purgatory because they chose to offend Me and disobey My commandments. They linger in purgatory, longing to be rescued by your prayers. Help these abandoned souls by acts of charity, lifting them up to Me at all Holy Masses throughout your life. They long for their release that they may give glory to My Father and pray for you forever. You will never be forgotten for this great act of kindness for these poor souls. Pray and give thanksgiving for the privilege to be able to assist in this great mission for souls. Your loving Jesus.

Ann: Mother Mary, I heard your message from Mirjana today and that your eyes were filled with tears as you spoke.

Mother Mary: My dear daughter. Yes, My eyes are heavy with tears for your world. The sins of pride and hatred for your fellow man is bringing destruction upon your world. God is offended and is deeply wounded by His creation. Man has turned his ways towards great evil. Sin is running rampant and there is no sign of repentance, the youth are being taught to love earthly goods and not God. Respect for others has diminished and has resulted in a self-seeking, pleasure minded world. If souls continue to live this way without repentance, the hand of God will not be able to be held back. I beg My faithful to sacrifice and offer everything to God for the salvation of the world. Pray. Pray. Pray. The Rosary is the weapon against the enemy. Keep it with you always and never stop praying. I am with you always, your loving Mother.
